Meet Freya

My name is Freya, and I am a qualified Veterinary Physiotherapist and graduate of Harper Adams University.

I completed four years of specialist training, including three years of academic study and a full year working within the veterinary physiotherapy industry. This gave me valuable hands-on experience assessing animals, supporting rehabilitation and developing treatment plans tailored to each animal’s individual needs, comfort and lifestyle.

My passion for animal care began long before university. I grew up on a smallholding in the Lincolnshire countryside, surrounded by a wide variety of animals from an early age. Life on the farm was very hands-on, and I was actively involved in the daily care of the animals as well as important seasonal work, including assisting with lambing, farrowing and the hatching and rearing of different species of poultry and other birds.

These experiences taught me the importance of patience, careful observation and treating every animal as an individual. They also gave me a strong understanding of animal behaviour and the subtle ways animals can show discomfort, pain or changes in movement.

Although I have always loved working with a wide range of animals, dogs have held a particularly special place in my heart. Their personalities, loyalty and willingness to engage make them incredibly rewarding to work with. Supporting dogs to move more comfortably, recover from injury and maintain a good quality of life is one of the most fulfilling parts of my work.

My approach to veterinary physiotherapy is calm, compassionate and centred around the wellbeing of each animal. I take the time to understand their history, behaviour and individual needs, helping them feel safe and comfortable throughout their assessment and treatment.

Whether I am working with a much-loved family dog, a working animal, a competition horse or an older companion needing extra support, my aim is always the same: to provide thoughtful, professional care that helps every animal move as comfortably and confidently as possible.
